Horsebox Manufacturer Helps Others into Business

An innovative scheme is being introduced by a horsebox manufacturer which will set people on the road with their equines as well as setting them up in business.
Northern Horseboxes of Darlington have recognised the lack of horsebox hire companies in certain areas like the north of England, Wales and Scotland so have devised a package offering the help and advice to start a small company based on one of their 3.5t RunStar Horse Shuttles.
Mike Crawley, of this initiative, says "People often mention to us when buying a horsebox that they only use it for a couple of days a week, the rest of time it's sitting in a corner. However with our scheme it could now be earning its own keep."
Over the past two years Northern Horseboxes have helped four customers set up their own horsebox hire and transporting businesses. Mike continues: "The new package includes everything from the horsebox, logos, websites, PR, advice and follow up help. We aren't just going to sell them a few sheets of paper and run away, we are always here to give advice and bounce ideas off."
