Casper as a Young Foal

His birth was perfectly normal, but we called the vet just to check everything was ok. He is loved at the farm by all of the people at the livery yard, recently his mother was taken into a separate stable just across the barn, and they are both handling it very well. They all stay in the same field during the day and on the night they are taken into their stables and are fed and brushed regularly.

He has loads of fun with our pet dog Alfie, they chase each other around the field, and they can do this for as long as a couple hours and then they tend to calm down. As well as playing with Alfie he also loves racing dippy up to the top gate on a night usually every night, but sometimes he is still excursed from playing with Alfie in the field.

Every night we put a handful of treats in a football, him and his mother love kicking them around the stable, it almost sounds like the stable is being destroyed.

Casper has grown rapidly though the months, he is almost bigger than his mum now. He is starting to grow out of his habits of jumping up at visitors, and jumping over or crawling under the fences in the fields.
Overall he is definitely starting to become mature, calm but still the fun loving foal he will always be.
