If you’re struggling with saddlery or baffled by bitting – World Horse Welfare aims to fit all of the pieces together and allow you to feel more confident in horse care with the help of a group of top experts.

We’re holding a ‘Here to Help’ event at our Penny Farm Rescue and Rehoming Centre near Blackpool next month where you can learn from some of the country’s leading professionals in their field including: - Dodson and Horrell Ltd, Merial Animal Health, The Society of Master Saddlers, South Essex Insurance Brokers, The Worshipful Company of Loriners and World Horse Welfare.

The day aimed at everyone is all about having fun in a relaxed atmosphere while at the same time picking up useful tips and advice on a number of everyday horse care topics. There’s also the chance to win a jacket and nutritional plan for your horse.

Project leader Samantha Chubbock from World Horse Welfare said: “The Here to Help Day is an excellent way for horse owners and carers to learn more about many of the different subjects they deal with on a daily basis. The event also showcases a side of the charity that many people might not know about – providing expert advice and support on all things horse.

“We’ve split the event into two parts, with the morning being lecture-based and the afternoon having a more practical feel. Tickets are £18 each which includes lunch and refreshments, and everyone who comes along will take home a bag packed full of information and goodies from the organisations involved.”

The Here to Help Day at our Hall Farm Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Norfolk on Saturday 24^th September was well-received. Some comments from a selection of people who attended are as follows: -

The Here to Help Day at World Horse Welfare’s Penny Farm, Lancashire is being held between 9am and 5pm on Saturday 26^th November 2011 and everyone who attends will be given the opportunity to win a £25 feed voucher, a jacket and a free personalised nutritional plan thanks to generous support from Dodson and Horrell Ltd.
