Well we set of in sunshine and the closer we got to the showground the more overcast it became. Not sure whether it was a combination of rain clouds and volcano ash but eventually the heavens did rain upon us.

The show was well attended with in-hand, ridden and jumping classes, so something for everyone. The show rings were full and perhaps a little oversubscribed for some classes but the entrants were well turned out and did not appear to be disheartened by the rain. Refreshments were available and everyone was friendly. For everyone attending the show, hope you had a good day and for those who didn’t make it – never mind there’s always next year. To the organisers – THANK YOU, you all worked really hard and it is appreciated. Can I just suggest for next year that the in-hand and ridden classes be announced on the public address system to avoid confusion and entrants holding up the judging.

All in all a great day out in some of Britain’s beautiful countryside.
