This show was held today at Middridge Meadows Livery Yard, Middridge,Co. Durham. HorseEvents attended and competed in several of the classes and it must be said that for the first show that this yard has held it was a roaring success. Long may it continue.

The weather was good, if not too warm for the horses, handlers and spectators, but the organisers did their level best to ensure that everyone was happy. All of the staff from the judges to the parking attendants were very friendly and outgoing which added to the experience. The heat was obviously affecting both horses and handlers but despite the searing temperatures and distinct lack of any breeze at times, everyone was friendly, sociable and had fun! The atmosphere was wonderful!

The newest (and youngest) member of HorseEvents made her debut today, Nicole aged just 2. Kaisha also made her debut quite unexpectedly when our very own Susan almost passed out in the heat. Well done Kaisha for coping so well and doing a fabulous job! Even Boo was having problems, refusing to

Congratulations to everyone who qualified for Royal London today and to everyone who participated. Every individual deserves a round of applause for making this event such as success.

The new yard manager is planning several more events this summer so keep a look out on our events pages for them. She is also asking for feedback from those that attended today and is keen to hear from anyone local enough to attend the yard as to what events they want to see on the schedule in the future – talk and demos, games training, dressage etc – anything is possible if enough of you are interested in the event.
